SmartUp Technologies Inc. ("SmartUp", "we") operates the SmartUp networking platform at smartup-future.app. You can reach us at smartup.future@gmail.com. Our office is in Berlin, Germany.

When you use SmartUp we process:

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password credentials.
• Profile data: your survey answers, interests, career direction, city, and profile photo.
• Content you create: posts, comments, messages, portfolio files, and CV documents you upload.
• Usage data: interactions with the app needed to operate features such as matching and notifications.
• Verification data: confirmation of your email address and phone number.

• To provide the platform: accounts, feed, matching, chat, jobs, and notifications.
• To keep the platform safe: moderation of posts and messages, abuse prevention, and account verification.
• To provide AI features you explicitly use, such as the AI consultant, CV analysis, and portfolio feedback.
• To communicate with you about your account and requests you send us.

The legal bases are performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in a safe platform (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

When you use the AI consultant, CV/ATS tools, or portfolio feedback, the content you submit is processed by AI models to produce your result. We use this data only to provide the feature you requested — not to advertise to you or to train public models.

We use a small number of service providers to run the platform (hosting, database, email delivery, and AI processing). They process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data. Other members only see the profile and content you choose to share.

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and content are deleted or anonymized, except where we must keep records for legal reasons.

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Contact smartup.future@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.

SmartUp is for people aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy meaningfully, we will announce it in the app before the change takes effect.
